Gian Luca Vriz

I am a statistician with a focus on applied econometrics. I earned my PhD in Statistics from the University of Padua in 2025, with a dissertation on climate risk management developed in collaboration with Prometeia.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Udine and a double Master's degree in Political and Empirical Economics from the University of Graz. My academic research has addressed topics such as the impacts of COVID-19 and the development of advanced statistical models for economic analysis.

Currently, my work focuses on assessing the potential impacts of the green transition on the financial system, as well as evaluating the implications of EU policies such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
